Specific roles and responsibilities are outlined as well as suggestions for new teachers, mentors and administrators to implement a successful induction program.

New Teacher Support Plan 
The principal, coach and teacher should develop and periodically review the success of new teachers (mentees) in:

  • Peer support (both formal and informal) 
  • Integration into professional learning communities 
  • Participation in professional development opportunities 
  • Student learning 
  • Celebration of successes
